About This Station
Live weather from historic Bushnell's Basin, NY
Located at:

Lat/Lon: 43.045722, -77.468550
This site and station are my personal 'hobby' and are graciously hosted at my work location
by Networx Corp. and building owner CTG properties.
Bushnell's Basin weather station began operation 07/14/07.
The instruments for basic weather measurements are located in the 'back yard' of our
building on a pole approximately 8 ft. above grass covered ground. The Boltek lightning
detector is on a PVC pipe extending above the pole at approx. 15 ft. above ground.
Wind instruments are on the building roof approx 35 - 40 ft. above ground level
and send data to the ground station via a wireless connection.
The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station with daytime fan-aspirated radiation shield.
The rain collector is equipped with a cold weather heater unit so winter precipitation is melted snow/ice equivalent.
The station includes an anemometer, rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor, and a Boltek Stormtracker lightning detection
system with Astrogenic Systems Nexstorm software.Data is collected every 5 seconds and the site is updated every
10 minutes. Dynamic realtime data updates every5 seconds thanks to some nifty Ajax scripts
from Ken at saratoga-weather.org.
This site runs using Brian Hamilton's amazing Weather Display software.
